Community Association

The community of Aberdeen has been designed to complement and enhance the natural beauty of Timberlake Farm. Steeped in history, Timberlake Farm was an equestrian center, home to horses bred and raised in the dense woods and pastoral rolling hills.

Timberlake farm’s idyllic past has not been forgotten. Today at Aberdeen, nature still takes the lead. Our team of architects, planners, and landscape engineers carefully follow.

Village Center

Set amidst the rolling hills, rich green forests, and meandering streams of Aberdeen, Timberlake Farms, was once a dairy farm, a comfortable hunting lodge and home to thoroughbred horses.

Today, more than 100 years later, the old farmhouse has been beautifully restored and renamed The Inn at Aberdeen. The old stables are now a neighborhood restaurant and pub, an ideal gathering place where neighbors can become friends.

The Village Center graced by the beautiful Aberdeen fountain, also includes a business complex created to preserve the historical flavor of the original farm buildings.

Of course, you can’t help but be charmed by the two chapels. One which served as the original Aberdeen Welcome center is now housed by a family owned insurance company. The other which serves as a wedding chapel and is operated by the Aberdeen Manor, a wedding and banquet facility.

At the heart of the Village Center is a manicured park where concerts are held in the summer and residents can enjoy throughout the seasons.

The Neighborhoods

The good life is more than just a spectacular course. You also want luxury, amenities, recreation, and natural beauty. Some of the enhanced neighborhood offerings that Aberdeen residents can enjoy include: A community park with Concerts on the Green, pickleball, tennis, basketball, soccer, softball, pool, and playground.

The residential offerings of Aberdeen are tastefully laid out in a low-density fashion with compelling views of mature trees, waterscapes, and golf course.

For those seeking a maintenance free lifestyle, the Highland Villas, the Cottages, and the Manor Homes offer community living with common services.

The Greens and Fairways are centrally located close to the pool and parks, making recreational and family enjoyment a shared focus in those neighborhoods.

The Highlands, the Links, and the Heather each have most homesites bordering the edge of the course.

For those seeking the highest degree of luxury and security, in the gated area of the Woods and the Preserves you will find some of Valparaiso’s most spectacular architecturally designed homes build to compliment the natural landscape.

Lawson Creek

Lawson Creek winds throughout the Aberdeen community. Residents will also delight in the neighborhood parks, play fields, and walking trails.

The Course at Aberdeen

The Course at Aberdeen is a truly great course that stands the test of time. The 18-hole championship course is a public, daily fee course and has been designed specifically for Aberdeen. POA owners will find that they get great discounts on green fees, memberships and in the golf shop. Its multiple tees, wide landing areas, and well-placed bunkers offer a challenge to golfers of all abilities. If you're new to the game or looking to hone your skills with some range balls or a lesson, our range is perfect. The practice area is widely regarded as one of the best in Northwest Indiana for its large teeing ground and is complimented with a short game area and putting green. The course is an aesthetic affirmation of the timeless beauty inherent in a course design that is in harmony with nature and the surrounding community.

For a golfer, The Course at Aberdeen is a superb test of ability. For a neighboring homeowner, it’s a wonderful morning sunrise over a misty fairway, a cool breeze rustling the trees.
